This work is based on the French Scientist, Étienne-Jules Marey, who invented the chronophotograph.

To me, Étienne-Jules Marey’s work was a lifelong attempt to understand the world a little deeper. His chronophotography allowed me to see fleeting moments that might have passed unnoticed. Through Marey, I find myself rethinking the world around me and questioning what truth really is.

This work shows a sequence of hidden images revealed through the projection of light - images I wouldn’t notice without the light, and without my will to perceive them. What does it all mean? I don’t know yet, but spend more time.
